Music and games this time around.

Revengeseekerz - Jane Remover

Nostalgic samples meet raw energy and talent. Leading single “Dancing with your eyes closed” has been in my playlists most of this past season. It’s loud and unapologetic in its presentation in the best way.

Blue Prince

Some of my favorite games are ones that deceive you. Not in a malicious way, but instead hiding their complexity. Blue Prince presents as a floorplan drafting roguelite where your goal is reaching the secret 46th room in a 45 room mansion. Simple enough when there’s a static antechamber on the otherwise random map. You learn resource management while solving puzzles in the rooms you draft and the bounty of resources grow as you earn permanent additions. Then as the puzzles grow in complexity you start to understand that their depth matches their width.

Nubby’s Number Factory

“No wait, if I put my dancing dino here that will trigger my all seeing eye every bounce.” Insane thoughts like this are just the norm when purchasing and placing items in this pachinko inspired game. It’s just a joy watching the Nubby bounce around and pop all the pegs. Nothing more needs to be said.

F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!!<3 - Skrillex

Continuous mix versions of an album have lost favor over the years, but I still love a good one.

Elden Ring: Nightreign

Nightreign took the combat from Elden Ring and added a Fortnite circle. With a full stack communicating in a voice call this is one of the most exhilerating experiences I’ve had in a game so far this year. The solo play struggles some from the balancing, and I can’t speak to the playing with random players experience. With a couple of friends though, I cannot recommend this game highly enough.
